'Vanishing Trades' is an ongoing documentary photographic journey.  As Singapore progresses, a lot of trades done based on manual labor are slowly phased out.   These trades persons used to work in shop fronts but were forced out due to rising rents or where the shop owners have been taken over by new owners who prefer modern businesses.   

The fact remains that these are essential services whether you have them in large shopping malls or on the streets.  

These trades persons are in their 70s.  They continue to work under to either earning a livelihood or to past their time.
